Metro Map of the Ways of Saint James in France

The Metro Map of the Ways of Saint James in France was designed in 2024, based on the routes described by the French Federation of Associations of the Way of Saint James (Compostelle-France) and the Spanish Federation of Associations of Friends of the Way of Saint James (FEAACS). Featuring a format similar to a metro network, each route is assigned a unique, distinctive color, while the towns marking the start and end of each stage are represented as metro stations.

The design was modeled following the existing Metro Map of the Ways of Saint James in the Iberian Peninsula, aiming for a layout that is highly legible and easy to interpret while offering strong visual impact. Building upon the main Jacobean routes in France, the project also sought to map secondary itineraries and variants running through the French territory, extending the coverage to the towns closest to the borders with neighboring countries.

Plans are in place to print and distribute the map on high-quality photographic paper, allowing it to serve as both a stage planner and a decorative poster. Initial print runs are limited to two standard sizes of 100x70 cm (B1) and 70x50 cm (B2), though other formats and sizes may be produced depending on demand.
