Basque Riojan Inland Way, Bayonne Way, Baztan Way, Asturias Way

The Basque Riojan Inland Way, the Bayonne Way and the Baztan Way are three routes that form part of the network of Northern Way of Saint James routes. They share the common feature of originating in southern France and ending at various points along the French Way. The first two routes share much of their path, traversing the Basque Country's interior between Irun and Estavillo, while the third runs through the idyllic Baztan Valley. The Asturias Way is a long-distance Jacobean route running from east to west, situated between the French Way and the Northern Way, and intersecting with other Jacobean routes at various points along its course.

The Basque Riojan Inland Way is a Jacobean route that shares its starting point with the Northern Way, at the Santiago Bridge between Hendaye and Irun, but heads southwest through the Basque interior rather than following the coast. It crosses the provinces of Guipuzcoa, Alava, Burgos (Treviño County) and La Rioja, passing through Vitoria, and concludes in Santo Domingo de la Calzada, where it joins the French Way.

The Bayonne Way is a Jacobean route named after the French town where it begins. After an initial stretch near the coast of the Atlantic Pyrenees department, it enters Spain at Irun. It then continues southwest through the Basque interior, crossing the provinces of Guipuzcoa, Alava, and Burgos (including Treviño County), passes through Vitoria, and ends in the city of Burgos, where it joins the French Way.

The Baztan Way is a Jacobean route that also begins in Bayonne and heads south, following the course of the Nive River through the Atlantica Pyrenees department. It then enters Spain via Dancharinea and continues through the Navarrese Baztan Valley, offering an alternative route across the Pyrenees that is less rugged than the Roncesvalles path. The route concludes in Villava, where it joins the French Way.

The Asturias Way is a Jacobean route that begins in Pamplona and ends in Oviedo, linking the French Way with the Northern Way. Along the way, it intersects with the Forgotten Way at various points, as well as with other Jacobean routes traversing the Cantabrian Mountains from north to south. It crosses the provinces of Navarra, Alava, Burgos, Cantabria, Palencia and Leon, passing through the city of Vitoria.
